Syndicate: back the board, all season long

Syndicate is Scoracle's most configurable format — the league admin builds a board of "pots," each backed by either a club's results or a player's stats, and every member picks one entry from every pot before the season starts. Then it's pure one-shot picking: no transfers, no changes, just watch every pick accumulate for the rest of the season.

How it works

The admin sets up the board first — a mix of club pots (scoring on wins and draws) and player pots (scoring on goals, assists, yellow cards, or red cards, depending on how the admin configures each one). Every member then picks exactly one option from every pot. Once the league's start gameweek kicks off, picks lock for good.

Who it suits

Syndicate is fire-and-forget once the picks are locked, but it's the format with the most pre-season setup — an admin who wants to build something genuinely custom to their league or competition (which clubs, which stats, what the point values are) gets full control over the board. If Target feels too simple and you want a format you can actually shape, this is it.

Because every pick locks for the whole season with no transfers, it also rewards whoever reads the board best at the start — a pick that looks safe in August can age badly, and that risk is the whole point.

A worked example

A club pot pays 3 points per win and 1 per draw. You back a club that finishes the season with 18 wins and 10 draws — 64 points from that pot alone. A player pot pays 2 points per goal; you back a striker who scores 15 all season — 30 points from that pot. Every pot you picked adds up the same way, all season, with nothing to manage once you've chosen.
